Ali,
To my dear friend! It is impossible to talk about all the fond memories we had over the years in just a few words. Whether we were sitting around the dinner table, taking a walk or trying to keep up with you on the ski slope, you were the life of the party. Your words of wisdom were always taken seriously and your jokes were always quite funny. No one can say that you did not live life to the fullest. You had a passion for life and instilled that same passion to everyone around you. I will miss you!
God bless you my dear friend!
May you rest in peace!

Ali was larger than life. He lived seven lives in one and passionately! Charismatic, wise, kind, hilariously funny with the most infectious smile. So humble and soft spoken and yet everyone gravitated to revel in his company. You were one of a kind, Ali, and we were so lucky to have shared the many adventures and great memories with you and your family! When I think of you, it puts a smile on my face????. You will live on through Suzanne and your family. Great, legends
never really go away...

It is with a heavy heart to have to say good bye to a friend.
While Iโve known Ali for many years, the most memorable ones are thru the last decade of his life; weโve enjoyed many lunches and walks together and were able to share many of our personal experiences.
It was always noteable how balanced and reasonable his thinking was, clear and with definite goals; he was very personable , with a subtle sense of humor and deep understanding of the world around him.
I will miss him!
RIP, my friend

I had the privilege of meeting you because of my brother and his family, and very quickly became a part of your family. As "Uncle Ali" you gave love and support and sense of fun to my children and myself. The memories will live forever, and my darling Suzanne will always remain my American sister.

Everyone loved Ali. I was no exception. He was a brilliant man with a great understanding of history. He was very American and at the same time very Persian. We spent countless hours discussing world politics. I enjoyed our relationship immensely.
Ali loved his friends and his family. That was our common bond. Sorry I was a better friend in the beginning than I was at the end. It is my loss and my regret.

No words can describe the feeling of total helplessness and despair at the loss of my brother, mentor and best friend. Nothing I can say or do will explain the magnitude and gravity of the loss of someone I have relied on for counsel, for emotional support, for brotherhood, for having fun, and much more. He was such a huge source of stability and wisdom and someone I had always relied upon for consultation when needed and for fun and release in good times. We had so many laughs and so many wonderful times and memories together. Alas, we are now left naked and alone. I am so grateful to have the love and friendship of Suzanne and his beautiful children that will endure and flourish in the years to come.
